Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for his breakout performance in a 48-10 thumping of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Rodgers, signed as a free agent this spring, scored two defensive touchdowns last Sunday. One was an 87-yard interception return, the other a 67-yard ramble after punching the ball from the arm of Bengals tight end Noah Fant. Rodgers also recorded three tackles, two passes defended and an additional fumble caused.
