Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for his breakout performance in a 48-10 thumping of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rodgers, signed as a free agent this spring, scored two defensive touchdowns last Sunday. One was an 87-yard interception return, the other a 67-yard ramble after punching the ball from the arm of Bengals tight end Noah Fant. Rodgers also recorded three tackles, two passes defended and an additional fumble caused.

He is the only player in NFL history to have multiple defensive touchdowns and multiple forced fumbles in a game. Rodgers' performance earned a perfect 99.9 grade, according to Pro Football Focus , the highest individual single-game grade in N
