NEW DELHI: At the NYC Green School Conference, Associate Professor Marissa Staffen of Rutgers University emphasized the importance of state-level action and regional collaboration in climate education during the session “Regional Climate Education Initiatives – Lessons from State-Level Innovation.”

Addressing educators and community leaders, Staffen said, “We serve K-12 and provide professional development while offering college students opportunities to engage with communities. Through partnerships with Rutgers University, the 4-H program, and marine scientists nationwide, we aim to bring real-world science and data to young people. Our goal is to enhance data science skills and empower students to discuss and understand climate change.”
