The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigation into a deadly officer-involved shooting in St. Clair Township from January is complete and in the hands of the Columbiana County Prosecutor.

The OSP investigation looked into the shooting between St. Clair Township officer Dakota Wetzel and 30-year-old Joseph Como of Wellsville, who died in the incident, along with 4-year-old Rosalie Martin, who was hit by a bullet in a nearby dentist's office on January 22 along St. Clair Blvd.

OSP was asked to handle the investigation in January after the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation returned the case to the St. Clair Township Police due to a potential perceived conflict.
