Dallas witnessed a deadly shooting at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office on North Stemmons Freeway on Wednesday. The shooting incident left multiple people dead and injured. Authorities confirmed that the gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has acknowledged the presence of several victims, while police and federal investigators continue probing the motive behind the attack.
A federal law enforcement official described the incident as “an act of targeted violence” against the federal agency, a news report by Mint said. At a briefing, Joe Rothrock, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Dallas field office, said that rounds recovered near the suspect appeared to have anti-ICE messages written on them.
