John Mulaney is going big with his current tour, following a string of sold-out dates with a marquee performance in his hometown next year. The stand-up is set to play Chicago’s Wrigley Field, marking the first time a comic has ever headlined the historic ballpark.

The Everybody’s Live host announced the news on Tuesday night during — what else? — a Chicago Cubs game. Before the Cubs lost to the New York Mets, Mulaney sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” to the crowd and then took a seat in the broadcast booth to share the news — noting the venue’s daunting capacity.

“Look, if Mark Grace could come out there every day and just deliver ripping cigarettes, I can face down this crowd too,” offered Mulaney.
