HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. - A semi-truck caught fire on I-75 in Hernando County, causing major delays during rush hour traffic on Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Image 1 of 3 ▼

Troopers say that there are injuries reported.

Sumter County Fire Rescue and Hernando County Fire Rescue are on scene near mile marker 305. I-75 southbound has been moving slowly with cars passing only on the shoulder for several hours.

The northbound lanes were partially impacted for a while until crews cleared them. People are being asked to find alternative routes for the time being.
