Mason City wins against Des Moines East

The Mason City Riverhawks notched their first win of the season with a 95-74 win over the Des Moines East Scarlets on Tuesday. Jillian Doolittle won the 200 and 500 freestyle. Kayla Eide won the 50 and 100 freestyle races, Mallory Cook won the 200 individual medley, Rylee Driscoll won the 100 butterfly and Brynn Murray won the 100 backstroke. The team also won the 200 medley and freestyle relays.

Will Schissel was the runner-up in Tuesday’s dual against the Marshalltown Bobcats at Highland Park golf course in Mason City. He shot 37 while Nathan Berkley shot 39 to place fifth, Vance Anderson shot 41 to place sixth and Zayd Hanafi shot 42 to place nint
