With the implementation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) 2.0 on September 22, electronic gadgets and automobiles have seen an increase in customer footfall at showrooms. A two-tier GST tax structure, comprising rates of five per cent and 18 per cent, has been approved and is designed to benefit the general public. The implementation of this new structure has boosted the sales of these products in Dehradun.

An owner of an electronics appliances shop Vishal Jadeja commented, “It’s true that with the implementation of the GST 2.0, sales of electronic appliances, especially LED TVs, have increased among the residents.
