Washington, Sept 25: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal attended a high-level energy security session in New York, advocating for the expansion of India-US energy trade and collaboration on nuclear power.

Emphasizing India’s commitment to renewable energy, he highlighted initiatives like ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’ and the International Solar Alliance.

Goyal also met US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer to discuss a trade agreement, focusing on resolving key issues. Meanwhile, ongoing bilateral talks have been affected by changes to the H-1B visa program by the Trump administration. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged India’s critical role in enhancing trade relations.
