Railway employees bonus 2025: In a move aimed at rewarding employee performance and supporting household spending ahead of the festive season, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a Productivity Linked Bonus ( PLB ) of Rs 1,866 crore for railway employees. The payout will benefit 10.90 lakh workers across the country.

Rs 2,029 crore bonus Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the bonus, covering 10,91,146 employees, is equivalent to 78 days of wages. “Every year, before the Durga Puja and Dussehra holidays, eligible railway employees receive this bonus as recognition for their performance,” he said. For the previous fiscal year, the government had approved a Rs 2,029 crore bonus, benefiting 11,72,240 railway staff.
