Goa is set to get its second common waste management facility for industries, with the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) planning a Solid Waste Management Processing Facility (SWMPF) at the Tuem industrial estate cluster, which covers the Tuem, Colvale, Thivim, Mapusa, and Pilerne industrial estates.

Earlier, GIDC had announced a similar facility for the Verna and Sancoale industrial estates.

The request for proposal (RFP) for the Tuem cluster states that the facility will handle solid, wet, dry, sanitary, and hazardous waste. It will be set up on Plot No. 64 at Tuem Industrial Estat
