HOUSTON – Texans All-Pro corner Derek Stingley didn’t practice Wednesday after aggravating an oblique injury Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars and being ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Stingley is expected to attempt to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and has been characterized as “day to day” by coach DeMeco Ryans. If his condition doesn’t improve and the team deems it smarter to hold him out for a week, Tremon Smith is expected to start at outside corner opposite Kamari Lassiter.
Meanwhile, starting right tackle Tytus Howard wasn’t practicing during the portion of practice open to the media. He finished the game Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
