SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is warning of increased reports of target shootings at Golden Eagle Regional Park in Spanish Springs.

The Sheriff’s Office says this target shooting poses risks to people in and around that area and shared the story of one resident who said that stray bullets have shattered nearby windows and narrowly missed people.

Nevada law strictly prohibits discharging shotguns, air rifles and BB guns within 1,000 feet of a dwelling, and increases to 5,000 feet for pistols, rifles or other guns,
