IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Johnson County Attorney's Office says three people were arrested Tuesday in connection to a multi-agency human trafficking and money laundering operation.
The Iowa City Police Department made the arrests following a human trafficking investigation into two massage parlors. The massage parlors, named Paradise Spa, were located at 1901 Broadway Street and 805 S. First Avenue in Iowa City.
Zhenshi Liu, 60, and Junping Ren, 56, who owned and operated both salons, reportedly employed numerous female workers and required them to provide sex acts to the clients, according to the ICPD who interviewed several male clients.
