After a chase across a golf course and residential lawns, Billings Police Department detained one of two suspects in a reported Rimrock Mall store robbery Tuesday evening.

According to a BPD Facebook post , two suspects, a male and female, selected merchandise and went to the cashier at an unnamed Rimrock Mall store. During the transaction the male suspect brandished a knife, threatened employees and displayed what appeared to be a firearm hidden in a bag.

Both suspects fled the store in separate directions.

Officers located a male matching the suspect’s description and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect, 30-year-old Cameron Watson of Billings, then fled northbound on 32nd Street West from Central Avenue.
