CASTLETON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Windy Hill Orchard in Castleton will be transitioning to new ownership. The 115-year-old apple farm is expected to reopen in spring 2026.

Known as one of the oldest family-owned farms in the Capital Region, the apple orchard was founded by the Goold family in 1910 and, accordingly, called the Goold Orchards. The property was then bought by Scott Seeberger and his family in 2019.

"I'm deeply grateful for the years my family has spent stewarding this farm and for the wonderful community that has grown around it," Seeberger said.
