SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah native and Super Bowl champion Nolan Smith will miss at least the next four games due to injury, a person close to the situation told WSAV Wednesday.
According to ESPN, the Philadelphia Eagles will place the third-year pro on the reserve/injured list with a tricep injury. The designation means Smith must miss a minimum of four games.
At the time of publication, he was not placed on the season-ending injured reserve list.
The injury occurred during the team's Sept. 21 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The earliest Smith could return would be Philadelphia's second meeting with the New York Giants on Oct. 26, according to NFL rules.
Through three games this season, Smith has 10 combined tackles, four solo and six assists, according to Pro Football Reference.
