(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews quickly contained a fire in a multi-use commercial building on Wednesday morning.
Around 7:24 a.m., off of Trade Center Drive in Rancho Cordova, fire personnel arrived at the scene after employees reported smelling smoke and a power outage. Firefighters were able to locate that the smoke was inside the ceiling area, according to Metro Fire.
Officials said firefighters accessed the roof and located an air conditioning unit that was actively smoking. When fire crews arrived at the scene, the fire had already extended to the surrounding area; however, they were able to contain it.
