IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Fall colors are starting to pop across West Michigan, and this weekend, you can see them from the sky.

A flight school in Ionia County is partnering with the local Knights of Columbus chapter to offer a unique experience while raising money for charity.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for $25 you can climb aboard a small plane at the Ionia County Airport and take in Michigan’s fall colors from a bird's-eye view.

“It's nice, the opportunity to see the colors from above, and they're just starting to pop right now, so this ought to be the first perfect weekend to go up and really see those colors change,” said Fli ght Instructor Chase Nobis.

Nobis said the tours offer a safe way to have a fun new experience.
