Police in Upland arrested a domestic violence suspect who tried to evade capture by hiding under a blanket in a vacant building.
The Upland Police Department stated on social media that officers responded to the area of 11th Street and Berry Court around 9 a.m. last Wednesday, Sept. 17, for reports of a woman who had been assaulted.
“Officers located the victim, who was bleeding from her eye and foot, who said she was attacked by her ex-boyfriend,” UPD said.
The suspect had fled the area prior to officers arriving; however, they were able to identify him as a transient known to trespass in a vacant building in the area.
