ROUND ROCK, Texas — Police are investigating after a dead body was found in Round Rock on Wednesday.

According to the Round Rock Police Department, the body was located near the railroad tracks at McNeil Road and Interstate 35.

The Round Rock Police Department said that the area of McNeil Road from the I-35 frontage road to South Blair Street is currently closed while the investigation proceeds. Traffic delays are expected, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Investigators said the preliminary investigation revealed the incident was between a train and a pedestrian, resulting in the person's death. Police have not released the person's identity but believe there was no foul play involved.
