LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - An Omaha woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly embezzling more than $35,000 from her employer, Spreetail, over six months.

On May 16, Lincoln Police responded after Spreetail reported discovering that 38-year-old Jamie Braley, a senior payroll and benefits specialist, had been embezzling funds.

According to an arrest affidavit, Braley deposited company money into her own bank accounts seven times between Nov. 1, 2024, and May 1, 2025, totaling $35,265.75. She paid herself extra paychecks on Nov. 1, Nov. 29, and Dec. 31, 2024, as well as Jan. 31 and Feb. 28, 2025, each for $5,407.50.

Police said Braley also altered her bonus from $1,946.70 to $4,226.70 and processed an additional paycheck of $5,948.25 on May 1, 2025, attempting to cover it up using a termina
