EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The 15-year-old who police say was driving the suspected stolen car during an officer involved shooting could be tried as an adult.

As we reported, Officer Sam Taylor was seriously hurt early Sunday morning.

Police say the prosecutor plans to request a waiver to adult court and are working on the charges.

Officers say the teen was detained shortly after an officer used an electronic stun gun, but authorities state he was able to get away after the shots were fired at officers.

The 15-year-old was later found on the roof of a nearby Joshua Academy school.
