CINCINNATI —

A trial date has been set for six suspects charged in the downtown Cincinnati brawl that made national headlines over the summer.

The incident unfolded on West Fourth and Elm streets early on July 26. Cincinnati police say the incident began as a verbal altercation that quickly turned physical. Advertisement

A judge order Wednesday that six people - Aisha Devaughn, Jermaine Matthews, Montianez Merriweather, Dekyra Vernon, Dominique Kittle and Patrick Rosemond – will go on trial starting Feb. 23, 2026.

If convicted on all charges, they each face nearly 30 years in prison.

An attorney for one of the suspects is asking to have access to the transcript from the sealed grand jury testimony that happened in August.
