MISSOURI (WGEM) - Leaders from Illinois, Missouri and Iowa will be gathering Wednesday and Thursday for the 2025 Tri-State Development Summit.

The summit begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday with a workshop on economic development strategies at Mark Twain Museum.

Sean Freeman, Culver-Stockton College Tri-State Development director, said this year the summit will be covering a variety of topics that impact the local community.

“So, what we’re going to be focusing on this year will be manufacturing, we’ll have a portion on AI, we’ll be talking about childcare, we’re gonna be talking about transportation, always transportation,” Freeman said. “So, covering a lot of topics that touch everybody in our region.”
