STATEWIDE -- With fall and foliage season comes cold and flu season. To make sure everyone is prepared, the Maine Immunization Program is encouraging Mainers to get their vaccines.
The immunization program, a part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is encouraging adults ages 19 and up to receive their annual flu shot. Those 65 and older should get a high dose flu shot.
Older adults should make sure they have their RSV vaccine, while those who are in their third trimester of pregnancy are also encouraged to get that vaccine to protect their baby.
