PITTSTON - What started out as a traffic stop and the discovery of a suspicious device earlier this week has turned into two arrests.

A little before noon today State Fire Marshals and the State Police Bomb Team executed a search warrant at 158 Wiscasset Road in Pittston .

A State Police Spokesperson says 43-year-old Nicholas Presby of Augusta was arrested without incident.

He is being charged with one count of criminal use of explosives.

According to the spokesperson, a car was stopped by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office on Monday and they discovered explosive devices inside the vehicle.

The driver was arrested at the scene.

During todays search and arrest the local school went into lockdown out of an abundance of caution and Route 27 was closed.
