AUSTIN, Texas — A former employee at Austin's Tesla Gigafactory has filed a lawsuit alleging she was wrongfully fired after an injury, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

According to court documents obtained by KVUE, Monica Jordan is claiming the facility in Austin denied her paperwork for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) disability after being injured on the job and was informed she had resigned from her position.

Jordan was hired by Tesla in 2022 as a material handler on the factory floor. The lawsuit states she was responsible for receiving, storing, picking and distributing materials in Tesla's facility.
