GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - On Wednesday, September 24, officials with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 18-year-old Jamaro Jonathan McNair of Gulfport.

McNair’s arrest stems from an investigation spurred by a report of a stolen vehicle in the 10000 block of Roundhill Drive in Gulfport. Officials say he drove to the neighborhood in a vehicle reported stolen from Three Rivers Landing, also located in Gulfport.

McNair had a juvenile with him when he burglarized a vehicle in the Roundhill Subdivision before stealing another vehicle from that same neighborhood. Deputies later tried to stop the stolen vehicle when it was found traveling westbound on I-10. However, investigators say McNair only stopped after the battery died on County Farm Road.
