CLEVELAND (WJW) -- The Cleveland Guardians' Wednesday evening matchup against the Detroit Tigers has been delayed due to inclement weather.
The first pitch, which was originally supposed to be at 6:40 p.m., is now scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
Earlier, FOX 8's PJ Ziegler said light rain was coming down at Progressive Field and officials waited to remove the tarp at the ballpark.
After last night's 5-2 win, the Guardians have erased a 15 1/2-game deficit in the American League Central, and are now sitting at the top of the division. Cleveland is now looking to take sole possession of first place with another win over the Tigers.
