WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - As fall arrives, cases of COVID-19 continue to rise at a fast rate across the nation, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Shawnna Rhine with the Southern 7 Health Department and spokesperson for the IDPH said folks in Illinois now have the easiest access ever to get a COVID-19 shot.

“In Illinois, you do not need to see your doctor prior to getting your shot, and that will give ease of access wherever you plan to get your vaccine,” Rhine said.

One of the biggest questions is that if people living in neighboring states like Missouri or Kentucky can benefit from Illinois’ standing order on vaccines.
