A fatal crash involving three vehicles and a tractor just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday has shut down all southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike just before Mile Marker 277 near Clermont in Lake County, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Delays extend nearly 7 miles, before Exit 285 at U.S. Highway 27 in Leesburg, according to Florida 511. Traffic is being detoured at Exit 278 in Minneola. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route, according to fl511.com.

FHP said one person died in the crash, which involved three vehicles and a tractor, according to the release. Troopers are investigating. More information will be released later, the release said.
