LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The Nevada Commission on Ethics pushed reform after settling cases involving Gov. Joe Lombardo and Clark County Commissioners.

According to a news release from the Nevada Commission on Ethics, Gov. Joe Lombardo will admit to a “non-willful violation of the ethics law” and pay a $5,000 civil penalty as part of a stipulated agreement.

The complaint, filed in 2021 when Lombardo was the sheriff of Clark County, centered on the acceptance of Formula One tickets.

“The Formula One case highlights the importance of transparency and complying with the disclosure requirements of the ethics law,” the news release said. “It is critical that public officers disclose gifts when the person who gave the gift comes before them in future matters.”
