LOGAN — The Logan City School District announced Wednesday that Board of Education President Larry Williams has formally submitted his resignation, effective, Sept. 24.
Williams, a former career educator, served on the board since 2019, including two terms as its president. During his tenure, the district saw enhanced employee compensation, increased high school graduation rates, and a rise in CTE pathway completions.
"It has been an honor to serve the students, families, and staff," Williams said, adding he has "witnessed tremendous growth" in the district.
Vice President Frank Stewart will immediately fulfill the duties of president.
The Logan City School Board must now appoint an interim member to fill the vacancy within 30 days. The board has established the following timeline for
