BELVIDERE, Ill. (WREX) — The Rock River Valley Blood center is bringing back one of its locations after several months. This comes after staffing issues forced the center to temporarily close its doors.

The blood center's Belvidere location has been closed since the spring after the RRVBC said they did not have enough phlebotomists.

The closure continued a trend the blood center shared has been ongoing.

"We've been struggling overall to get people who want to come in and draw blood. It's not an easy job. It's something that I certainly could never do so it's been difficult for us overall to get enough people in," Maggie Anderson, the Marketing and Recruitment Specialist for the blood center said.
