SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - High pressure will arrive in the ArkLaTex bringing a prolonged stretch of beautiful weather.

The cold front that brought widespread heavy rainfall and severe weather earlier today is on the way out with cooler and drier air arriving in its wake. Temperatures tonight will fall into the mid 60s with skies becoming mostly clear.

Thursday will be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. Humidity will be dropping making it feel much more comfortable.

From Friday through the weekend, the weather looks gorgeous with highs each day in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Humidity will continue to drop making for ideal conditions to be outside.
