MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — Koe at the Marshall Pet Adoption Center (MPAC) is a sweet ball of energy waiting to find a place he fits.

Radio is a medium-sized mixed breed. Dogs like Koe are affectionately known as "super mutts" because it is impossible to determine their breed from looking at their features.

It is possible that he is a mix of hundreds of breeds.

Koe arrived at MPAC when he was around one year old. He was emaciated with a gash in his head. That gash was from a bullet that was still lodged in his shoulder.

According to Shelter Animals Count, 10 million die from abuse and cruelty every year, but Koe is far from a statistic.

One year later and one bullet removed, Koe is healthy, happy, and full of love.
