Vance faced immediate backlash after he posted on X that the "obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop" following a fatal shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Texas left two detainees dead and another wounded on Wednesday. Officials have confirmed that no ICE agents were injured.
