Perhaps sooner than anticipated, the Jaxson Dart era has begun in East Rutherford four weeks into the Giants’ season.
And the 22-year-old is prepared to lead his new 0-3 team through the remainder of this season’s daunting schedule.
“I’m ready,” Dart said of his new responsibility on Wednesday.
The Giants announced this week they’re benching former starter Russell Wilson in favor of the first-round rookie quarterback. Dart will start Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
“You’ve got to be on your s--t, point blank, period,” Dart said, describing the transition into a starting role. “So I think for me, I’m just trying to be prepared each and every day.”
