SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash — Spokane Valley Police Department (SVPD) says they have arrested a man who was armed with a large knife after he shattered a drive-thru window Monday night.

SVPD says officers responded to a call about a woman who was hiding inside a Dutch Bros. on East 1st Avenue and South Dishman Mica Road because a man shattered the drive-thru window around 7:55 p.m.

Police say the victim saw a man wearing a tank top standing outside the drive-thru window. She also says the man started hitting the window and believed he was trying to get inside, so she immediately locked herself in a room and called 911. The victim says she heard glass shattering while inside the room.

When deputies arrived, they found 46-year-old Tony Gust armed with a 24-inch knife. SVPD says Gust was "acting
