HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — The Hutchinson Community Foundation is awarding $600,000 in grants to two area community housing developments.

The foundation announced Wednesday that Interfaith Housing & Community Services will receive $450,000, and New Beginnings Inc. will get $150,000 to help address the local housing crisis.

Interfaith Housing will use the grant to expand its housing production capacity for middle-income housing, the foundation said. New Beginnings will fund a housing development specialist to enhance its affordable rental and small homes initiatives.
