DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - More than $5 million is headed to Minnesota to help with housing for our veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs announced on Wednesday that $5.5 million in federal funding is going to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.
The grant will help veterans access housing services, healthcare, transportation, and more.
This grant is part of the roughly $800 million in funds that the VA is awarding nationwide through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program.
The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans has an office in Duluth in the Spirit Valley neighborhood on Ramsey Street.
