( 25News Now ) - After starting last season with a red-hot 4-0 start, East Peoria football needed just one more win to secure their first playoff berth since 2012; but that win never came as they would end up finishing 4-5.

This season, the Raiders are once again 4-0 headed into the teeth of their Mid-Illini schedule, led by senior QB and MLB Dalton Oakman.

In addition to being a 2A state wrestling qualifier last season, Oakman’s gun-slinging and leadership abilities on the football field has his Raiders right back where they were last season; one win away.
