GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The superintendent of Guilderland schools informed the district that one of its students tested positive for typhoid fever. The student attends Guilderland Elementary School and is recovering at home.
The student did not have symptoms at school and will remain home until fully cleared by both their doctor and the Albany County Health Department, according to Superintendent Daniel Mayberry. The superintendent said no additional cases have been identified and the risk to schools is considered low.
