YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- One person has been taken to the hospital following a shooting Wednesday evening on I-64 eastbound in York County, according to Virginia State Police.

All eastbound lanes of I-64 at the 242-mile marker are currently shut down as the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigates the incident. A traffic diversion is in place at Humelsine Parkway.

The victim of one of the vehicles involved has been taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center.
