SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A long-running prank war between high school students in Sumner County took an unexpected turn when a local fire official allegedly assaulted a teenage girl outside his home, leading to criminal charges and his abrupt retirement.

For weeks, juniors and seniors from area high schools have been pulling lighthearted pranks on each other — toilet papering houses and spreading baking flour on lawns — in what parents have described as a tradition known as “Class Wars.”
