ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester Fire Department (RFD) is collaborating with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to promote Fire Prevention Week, focusing on lithium-ion battery safety. The campaign, themed “CHARGE into Fire Safety- Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” aims to educate the public on safe practices for buying, charging, and disposing of these batteries. In observance of Fire Safety Week from October 5 to 11, RFD will host open houses at all its fire stations.
