The founder and CEO of the Boston-based nonprofit Adapt & Evolve was arrested by federal authorities on Tuesday on a drug distribution charge after he sold large amounts of crack cocaine earlier this month, officials said.
Javan Tooley, 36, of Dorchester and Brockton, sold about 100 grams of crack cocaine near Fields Corner in Dorchester, a short distance away from the non-profit’s office and in the presence of a young child on Sept. 10, according to U.S. Attorney Leah Foley’s Office.
Tooley then contacted the cooperating witness again on Sept. 23 and met with them near Roxbury District Court and was found with about 160 grams of crack cocaine after his arrest, officials said.
