NEW YORK – Aaron Judge joined select company with his 50th home run on Wednesday evening against the White Sox at Yankee Stadium, a blast that secured his place as the fourth player in Major League history to post four separate seasons of 50 or more home runs.

Judge joins Babe Ruth (1920, ’21, ’27, ’28), Mark McGwire (1996-99) and Sammy Sosa (1998-2001) as the only players to have four seasons at that power plateau.

Additionally, Judge and Ruth are the only Yankees to have consecutive seasons of 50 or more homers. Judge had 58 homers last season in leading the Bombers to the World Series.

Judge’s 50th came in the second inning off a 96.6 mph sinker from Chicago reliever Jonathan Cannon, with Anthony Volpe and Trent Grisham on base. Your browser does not support HTML5 video tag. Cli
