A Shenandoah County woman who served prison time for using her mother’s assets is now charged with the murder of her mother, who has been missing for years.
Elizabeth Anne Catherine Keegan, of Maurertown, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lena Frances Keegan, who lived in Woodstock. Elizabeth Keegan, 61, is also charged with multiple fraud-related offenses.
Indictments unsealed in Shenandoah County Circuit Court on Wednesday indicate that the alleged victim was killed on Oct. 9, 2019. Indictments for the fraud-related charges indicate that offenses occurred as early as November 2019 and continued for almost two years.
Elizabeth Keegan is being held without bond at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. Judge Kevin C. Black ordered her to appear in the court
